"Non-ferrous metals are an integral component of our everyday life, both now and for the future. Non Ferrous Metals include Copper, Zinc, Lead, Aluminum, Nickel, Manganese, Tin & its alloys.

The nonferrous metals industry is a key sector in the Indian economy as it meets the requirements of a wide range of key industries including engineering, electrical and electronics, infrastructure, automobile and automobile components, packaging etc.
Primary producers are those players who process the mined ore to obtain the primary metal. This metal is commercially available in the form of rods, ingots, cathodes, wires etc., Secondary producers are those players who manufacture value added products like foils, extrusions, dry batteries, castings etc., either by procuring the metal from the primary producers or from scrap.

Mumbai is the financial capital of the country & so as the capital & Hub of Non Ferrous Trading. The wide spread market in the heart of Mumbai caters to the need of Non ferrous to the country. To Protect the rights of the Traders, Bombay non Ferrous Metals Association was formed in the year 1977, founded by traders interested in auctions of Non-Ferrous Metal Scraps at Govt. Ordinance factories and railway workshops and other factories, under the presidency of Shri Bakhtawar Ranka.
